Fresh & Ready Foods LLC of Renton, WA is recalling 2,414 of Fresh To You Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit Sandwiches (4.6 oz) because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Listeria monocytogenes infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

This recall is in connection with a recall initiated by CH Guenther & Son for certain biscuit products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Fresh & Ready Foods used the affected biscuit as an ingredient only in the specific product listed below.
