Wilmington-area acquisition adds two decades of hurricane-shutter expertise, improves purchasing power and supports a new customer showroom opening this fall

The transaction closed Aug. 1 and expands Creative Outdoor Solutions’ hurricane-protection expertise and purchasing capabilities for homeowners across coastal North Carolina.

Port City Hurricane Shutters founder Justin Heckler, who brings more than 20 years of experience in hurricane-shutter systems, will remain involved as a strategic advisor. His product and installation knowledge will complement Creative Outdoor Solutions’ existing sales, marketing and installation operations.

The acquisition also gives Creative Outdoor Solutions access to more favorable hurricane-shutter purchasing arrangements. The company expects the improved pricing to help it offer homeowners a broader range of storm-protection options at more competitive prices.
