MARLBOROUGH, Mass., Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Wyebot, the leader in AI-powered Wi-Fi optimization, today announced advanced roaming intelligence within its Wireless Intelligence Platform. Powered by data from the Intel® Connectivity Analytics Program (available to select partners only), the capability gives IT teams visibility into the driver-level reasons behind client roaming events, information that is typically hidden from traditional network infrastructure tools.
Access points and controllers can report that a client moved between connections. Wyebot helps explain the reasons behind those decisions.
Through the Wyebot DEX Agent, IT teams can review detailed, filterable roaming event logs for individual devices from Wyebot’s cloud-based dashboard. Events are timestamped with millisecond-level precision and reveal the Wi-Fi device’s reason for initiating a roam, providing visibility into driver-level decision-making that is normally inaccessible from outside the device.
Depending on the device and network conditions, those reasons can include missed consecutive beacons, Better AP found, OS Initiated roaming recommendation, roaming initiated due to receiving an 802.11h Channel Switch Announcement (CSA) frame, 802.11k/r/v roaming recommendations, Bluetooth, and more. This added context helps network teams distinguish between expected client behavior and conditions that may require further investigation or configuration changes, such as evaluating whether load balancing is helping or hurting the client experience.
“Roaming has traditionally been one of the most difficult parts of the Wi-Fi experience to understand, because much of the decision-making happens inside the client device,” said Anil Gupta, CEO, at Wyebot. “By combining Intel connectivity intelligence with Wyebot’s client-side visibility, cloud-based analysis, and most importantly Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) we can provide network teams actionable data and evidence they could not previously access. Infrastructure tools may show that a roam occurred. Wyebot helps explain the “WHY?”
Turning roaming events into actionable intelligence
Wyebot’s advanced roaming capabilities help network administrators and engineers:
- Investigate roaming activity for specific user devices through a centralized, cloud-based dashboard.
- Filter device event logs to focus specifically on roaming behavior.
- Review roaming events with millisecond-level timestamps.
- Identify driver-reported triggers that are not visible through infrastructure telemetry alone.
- Recognize repeated connection events and missed beacons that may indicate an unstable client experience.
- Make better-informed decisions about configurations such as load balancing and roaming policies.
- Analyze device behavior wherever the DEX Agent can securely connect to the Wyebot platform, extending visibility beyond a single corporate location.
Wyebot also incorporates relevant client connectivity data into its user health scoring. Frequent connection events over a short period, missed beacons, and related indicators can lower a device’s health score, helping IT teams quickly identify users who may be experiencing unstable connectivity. Teams can then move from a high-level indication of poor health to detailed event evidence supporting further investigation.
“Network teams need more than another alert that says something happened,” said Roger Sands, Executive Chairman. “They need context that helps them determine whether the behavior originated with the client, the wireless environment, or a network configuration. That is where client-side intelligence becomes a requirement for delivering industry-leading user experience.”
“Intel Connectivity Analytics provides valuable insight into the connectivity experience at the client level,” said Shai Monzon, Director of Product Marketing at Intel. “Bringing this data into Wyebot’s cloud-based platform can help IT teams better understand roaming behavior and make more informed decisions about wireless network performance.”
Wyebot will showcase this roaming visibility live alongside Intel on September 16, 2026, at Intel’s headquarters in Portland, Oregon, where the two companies will co-present roaming diagnostics during dedicated joint sessions as part of an Intel event held at the site.
