Port Jersey Logistics Network (“PJLN”), a portfolio company of Maxwell Street Capital Partners (“Maxwell Street”), today announced they have acquired Fond du Lac (“FDL”), an Edison, New Jersey-based provider of temperature-controlled and customs-bonded warehousing as well as final-mile transportation services to wine, spirits, and specialty food customers. Founded in 1999, FDL operates seven multi-client warehouses totaling approximately 500,000 square feet in Edison, New Jersey.

“Joining PJLN is an exciting next chapter for FDL,” said Ian Torley, FDL’s VP of Sales and Engagement. “Our customers trust us with high-value, sensitive inventory, and as part of PJLN we can pair that service standard with a broader network, deeper commercial reach, and the systems and resources to serve them better.”

The acquisition deepens PJLN’s presence in the Port of New York and New Jersey, where all FDL facilities sit within approximately 25 miles of the port — a critical location for U.S. wine imports and final-mile delivery into the New York City metropolitan area.

“FDL has built long-tenured customer relationships in one of the most demanding corners of logistics,” said Jeff Ramella, CEO of PJLN. “Their capabilities are highly complementary to ours, their footprint sits at the doorstep of our New Jersey operations, and together we can offer customers a fully integrated warehousing and delivery solution across an expanded specialty food and beverage platform.”

The transaction broadens PJLN’s customer base to include wine, spirits, and specialty foods while providing FDL’s customers with access to additional dedicated warehousing and transportation capabilities as well as PJLN’s Houston and Savannah footprint.

“This is PJLN’s first acquisition under our partnership and an important step in the growth strategy we laid out at the time of our investment,” said Evan Harwood, Managing Partner at Maxwell Street and PJLN board chair. “FDL adds specialized capabilities in regulated food and beverage logistics and deepens PJLN’s presence in a market where proximity to the port matters. We will continue to deploy capital and operating expertise behind Jeff and the PJLN team as they expand into new geographies, service lines, and end markets.”

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP and Scopelitis, Garvin, Light, Hanson & Feary, PC provided legal counsel to Maxwell Street and PJLN.
